Hearthstone World Champions better than Dota 2 The International
Blizzard is taking necessary steps to keep their Hearthstone players dedicated to their franchise and this comes with the announcement of HWC 2016.
Blizzard fans have been waiting for this for a long time now, this is a solid recreation of a Volvo’s event Dota 2 “The International” into something better. Where Dota 2“The International” is a onetime event with a lot of player shuffling whole year, HWC is a rather better version which will be divided into chunks of seasons and players will get to experience a year-long run. HWC can be subjected to bring about a fix of over saturation which is visible in “The International” events.
There is a lot more to that than just a million dollar event being held, prize money of $100,000 is fixed for all 9 Championship events held in Europe, Americas and Asian Pacific regions. Rebalance has been made to the current ranking system along with Hearthstone major championships. Also, dormant players will have their points decayed and active players will have better opportunities to make it to the worlds.
We will witness the event start this year in DreamHack Winter 2015 and the above chart shows how the event will be carried out year-long. Tournament diversity will be put to priority by setting up different rules for each season.
